Description

The invention relates to a wet cleaning device, in particular a window cleaning device, an aqueous based water repellent, a cleaning liquid containing such a hydrophobing agent, the use of a hydrophobing agent and a method for coating transparent surfaces and a surface coating obtainable therefrom.

From the EP 2 774 522 A2 is a wet cleaning device in particular for use in the household sector and preferably for wet cleaning smooth surfaces, such as windows known.

A wet cleaning device has a housing with a handle, with a wiping element forming a wiping surface and an elongate suction opening along a longitudinal edge of the wiping surface. In this case, the wet cleaning device is preferably a hand-held device. The wiping element is supplied with a cleaning liquid, which is kept in a fresh water tank arranged in the housing, and thus evenly wetted. The suction opening is connected to a suction unit, which is driven by an electric motor and powered by an accumulator with electrical energy. Thus, a suction air flow through the suction opening is formed and the liquid applied to the surface by the wiping element is absorbed together with the dirt particles received. The absorbed liquid is then collected in a recovery tank.

When it moves over the surface to be cleaned, the moisture-cleaning device immediately resumes the liquid applied to the surface via the wiping surface, whereby the wet-cleaning device is displaced such that first the wiping element applies the liquid, thus cleaning the surface and subsequently guiding it over the surface Suction opening absorbs the liquid again. For this purpose, the suction opening is formed like a nozzle along the longer peripheral edge of the wiping surface.

The preferred direction of displacement of the wet cleaning device is transverse to the longitudinal extent, wherein the cleaning of a window with a movement of the moisture cleaning device from top to bottom or from left to right, or right to left, takes place.

The wiping element is a wipe, in particular a wiper made of a microfiber material. Such microfiber cloths are characterized by a mostly streak-free cleaning of surfaces, in particular glass surfaces. Furthermore, such microfibre cloths provide a good removal of dirt from the surface to be cleaned. The cloth-like wiping element is usually arranged detachably on a flat carrier area within the housing.

The fresh water tank is at least partially filled to use the device with water and a detergent. The fresh water filling quantity is chosen, for example, such that with a filling of the fresh water tank, an area of approximately 10 to 30 m 2 , in particular 20 m 2 , can be cleaned.

A disadvantage of the above-described moisture-cleaning device is that hitherto only a cleaning agent is used to clean a surface or a window surface. However, no further surface treatment or surface modification takes place. Thus, the surfaces to be cleaned must be cleaned more often than necessary.

Surface treatments or modifications for improving the cleaning properties are known in the art. Such "easy-to-clean" or "self-cleaning" coatings are usually based on a hydrophobing of the surface, which creates a water and dirt repellent surface. From the EP 0 180 253 For example, a process for the hydrophobization of motor vehicle surfaces in car washes and a hydrophobic foam which can be used in this process is known. The disadvantage is that the process is complicated by the required exposure time of the foam of 20 s and an additional rinse cycle and the hydrophobizing agent contains surfactants and emulsifiers. Also, the use of butyl glycol in the prior art is disadvantageous in terms of health, occupational safety and / or environmental protection. Furthermore, many "self-cleaning" coatings known in the art require relatively large concentrations of acid, which can attack or irritate surfaces as well as the skin with which they come into contact.

The prior art also discloses various solvens-based commercial products for treating automotive surfaces, and in particular car windows (eg, Ombrello Glass Sealant, Rain-X Raincoat, Tartan Glass Guard, Clean-X Invisible Shield, BriteGuard ). These have in common that although they are very effective, however, contain high levels of organic solvents, especially alcohols. This is disadvantageous both in terms of environmental impact and on health and safety at work. It is therefore desirable to dissolve solvent-based water repellents by aqueous based ones.

However, aqueous based water repellents known in the art are not optimally suited for many applications. On the one hand, the achievable degree of hydrophobing is usually lower than in the case of corresponding solvent-based systems. On the other hand, long drying times are necessary to ensure evaporation of the water. In addition, such compositions often form milky opaque emulsions because of the insufficient water solubility of the hydrophobing agents. However, they are therefore unsuitable for the treatment of transparent surfaces. In addition, they often have only low storage stabilities or require mixing immediately before use, which is cumbersome. This problem is usually counteracted by adding emulsifiers or surfactants to improve solubility. However, the use of emulsifiers and surfactants generally leads to a deterioration of the hydrophobing effect and their permanence.

Against this background, the present invention is based on the technical problem of further improving the cleaning of smooth surfaces, in particular of window panes. In particular, it is an object of the invention to provide an aqueous-based device, method and compositions which allow a simple and economically effective manner of coating transparent surfaces with a hydrophobing agent while achieving high hydrophobicity and high permanence.

Preferred embodiments of the method are specified in the dependent subclaims.

The technical problem indicated above is also achieved by a coating according to the invention obtainable by the process according to the invention.

  • a) 0,1–10 Gew.-% Aminosiloxan,
The invention relates to a wet cleaning device, in particular a window cleaning device, comprising a housing, a handle portion formed on the housing, a fresh water tank arranged in the housing, which contains a cleaning liquid, a wiping surface formed on the housing for applying the cleaning liquid to a surface to be cleaned, in particular a Window, and with a suction opening for sucking applied cleaning liquid from the surface to be cleaned. The window cleaning device according to the invention is characterized in that the cleaning liquid has an aqueous-based water repellent, wherein the water repellent contains the following ingredients:
  • a) 0.1-10% by weight of aminosiloxane,
  • b) 0.01-5% by weight of acid and
  • c) 1-30% by weight of organic solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, their ethers and mixtures thereof.

As used herein, components of compositions of weight percentages are each based on the total weight of the particular composition.

Surprisingly, it has been found that this particular composition of the hydrophobing agent in combination with a wet cleaning device of the type described above leads to exceptionally good hydrophobicizing results, even though it is an aqueous-based water repellent. The proportion of organic solvent can be limited according to the invention to 1-30 wt .-% in the hydrophobing agent. Without wishing to be bound by scientific theory, this surprising effect seems to be explained, at least in part, by the fact that the acid-protonated aminosiloxane is crosslinkable and adheres surfaces to which it is applied very rapidly. This ensures that the immediate suction through the window cleaning device does not lose much of the hydrophobing agent. The suction opening provided in the wet cleaning device according to the invention for sucking off the cleaning liquid in turn makes it possible to reduce the drying times required in the prior art with aqueous compositions to a minimum. This is also possible thanks to the rapid adhesion and crosslinking times of the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention, without significantly influencing the hydrophobization. With regard to the coating of the surface to be hydrophobized, the wet cleaning device according to the invention also has the advantage that a thin and uniform coating is achieved, which is particularly important for transparent surfaces. If we are talking about "transparent surfaces", this refers in particular to glass surfaces. The composition according to the invention of the hydrophobizing agent allows crosslinking of the coating at room temperature. Advantageously, no elaborate washing-off, polishing and / or drying step is necessary. In addition, the wet cleaning device according to the invention ensures that its user does not come into direct contact with the hydrophobing agent, which is desirable in terms of occupational safety and health.

The moist cleaning device according to the invention contains the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention as a constituent of the cleaning liquid in the fresh water tank provided for this purpose. Such a cleaning liquid in itself, d. H. one which contains the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention is likewise an object of the invention.

As a cleaning liquid fundamentally a variety of liquid cleaning agents can be used in concentrated or diluted form. Such liquid cleaning agents are known to the person skilled in the art. Preferably, it is a cleaning liquid which is suitable for the cleaning of transparent surfaces. Conveniently, the surface to be hydrophobized is cleaned prior to application of the hydrophobing agent. The cleaning can be done with a surfactant-containing cleaning solution. According to another embodiment of the invention, the cleaning liquid is surfactant-free. Optimally, the cleaning liquid is water-based. It is also possible to use water as a cleaning liquid in the wet cleaning device according to the invention. According to such a preferred embodiment, apart from the hydrophobizing agent, the cleaning liquid consists only of water or essentially of water.

Depending on the application and the desired result, the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention may in principle be mixed in a wide variety of proportions of the cleaning liquid or, according to a particular embodiment, it may also be completely constituted. It is recommended that the surface or the glass surface is cleaned with the same wet cleaning device in a first step and coated in a preferably immediately subsequent or simultaneous step with the hydrophobing agent. Preferably, the hydrophobizing agent is contained in the cleaning liquid in an amount of 0.1 to 60 wt .-%, more preferably from 0.1 to 40 wt .-% or 0.1 to 20 wt .-%. Practical experiments have shown that even small amounts in the range of 0.1 to 5 wt .-% or 0.5 to 3 wt .-% show good effects in terms of hydrophobicity of the surface to be cleaned. The weight percentages in each case relate to the total weight of the resulting mixture of cleaning fluid and hydrophobizing agent.

Particularly practical is a storage-stable mixture of cleaning fluid and hydrophobing agent, which can be made available either as a finished product or as a concentrate, which is then diluted with a suitable diluent, preferably water, before use in the wet cleaning device according to the invention. Alternatively, cleaning liquid and hydrophobing agent are prepared and stored separately, so that a mixing of the two components before use in the wet cleaning device according to the invention is necessary. In this case, both the water repellant and the cleaning liquid may be present as a concentrate, which is then diluted before use in the wet cleaning device according to the invention with a suitable diluent, preferably water. Particularly practical is the provision of the water repellent and the Cleaning fluid as components of a kit-of-parts, possibly with a wet cleaning device and / or water as further components.

[0004] bis [0085]).The wet cleaning device according to the invention is explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments. It is hereby also expressly made to the description in the introduction and the description of further advantages and device features of the wet cleaning device in EP 2 774 522 A2 (See paragraphs [0004] to [0085]).

  • a) 0,1–10 Gew.-% Aminosiloxan,
The water repellent according to the invention is based on water and contains
  • a) 0.1-10% by weight of aminosiloxane,
  • b) 0.01-5% by weight of acid and
  • c) 1-30% by weight of organic solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, their ethers and mixtures thereof.

The combination of these ingredients has made it possible to formulate a crosslinkable aminosiloxane in an aqueous composition with a small proportion of organic solvent so that it surprisingly quickly adheres to the surface to be treated even without drying process and forms a hydrophobic coating with crosslinking. These properties enable use in the wet cleaning device according to the invention, which allows only short exposure times between application and suction. Thus, according to the invention, the many advantages of a wet cleaning device of the type described here can be combined with a surface hydrophobic treatment. This also allows the utilization of additional synergy effects that result in the simultaneous cleaning and surface treatment with the wet cleaning device according to the invention. Some surface cleaning is immanent to the use of a wet cleaning device. Surprisingly, however, this does not disturb the layer formation of the hydrophobizing agent. Rather, there is a particularly good and uniform coating when the hydrophobizing agent of the invention is applied with the wet cleaning device according to the invention. Without wishing to be bound by scientific theory, this seems to ensure a widespread distribution and adequate wetting of the surface with the hydrophobizing agent and at the same time prevents the formation of thick multilayers which could impair the transparency of the surface to be treated.

The hydrophobing agent according to the invention leads to a hydrophobization of the surface with high permanence, which is presumably due to its ability to crosslink. Methods for determining the degree of hydrophobing of a surface are known to the person skilled in the art. Particularly meaningful here is the contact angle. This is understood to mean the angle formed by a drop of deionized water on the surface of a solid relative to this surface at the three-phase point (solid / liquid / gaseous). If contact angles are specified here, these were determined by drop shape analysis. In the process, the device DAS from the company Krüss became new DIN EN ISO 828 used and evaluated the contact angle on a horizontal drop. By measuring the contact angle, the efficiency of a treatment with a hydrophobing agent can be determined, as it represents a physical parameter for describing the wetting behavior of a surface. The contact angle is the smaller, the more hydrophilic a surface is and can go to zero for strongly hydrophilic surfaces. At contact angles of greater than 80-90 ° one speaks of hydrophobic surfaces, at even larger contact angles, in particular at Kontaktwinken of about 120 °, of superhydrophobic surfaces. By surface treatment with a hydrophobing agent, the contact angle can be increased. With the wet cleaning device according to the invention or the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention, contact angles of more than 70 ° can be regularly achieved. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the contact angle after a single surface treatment with the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention is greater than 80 °, particularly preferably greater than 90 °.

By measuring the contact angle at different times during storage or a physical and / or chemical stress, the permanence of the hydrophobic coating according to the invention can be determined. The hydrophobizing agent according to the invention, especially in combination with the moisture-cleaning device according to the invention, leads to coatings which are distinguished by very high permanence. This is especially true with regard to repeated cleaning of the treated surface with commercial cleaning agents, which has the advantage that the hydrophobing agent of the invention must not be used as part of the cleaning agent in every cleaning. Optimum results are obtained when the hydrophobizing agent of the invention is used every 2, every 5th, every 10th, every 20th, every 30th or every 50th cleaning of the surface. Of the One skilled in the art can determine the optimum number of cycles by determining the permanence of the coating (eg contact angle of at least 80 °) in the respective individual case.

The hydrophobizing agent according to the invention is generally transparent, homogeneous, stable and stable to dilution without further addition of emulsifiers or surfactants. Preferably, the hydrophobing agent contains emulsifiers and / or surfactants in an amount of less than 1 wt .-%, more preferably less than 0.5 or 0.1 wt .-%. Optimally, the hydrophobing agent contains no emulsifiers and / or surfactants. This is advantageous because the use of emulsifiers and surfactants can adversely affect the hydrophobing effect and its permanence.

The composition according to the invention of the hydrophobing agent makes it possible to dispense with environmentally harmful and harmful fluorocarbon compounds in the hydrophobizing agent or to greatly reduce their proportions and nevertheless to achieve very good hydrophobicization results. According to one embodiment of the invention, the hydrophobing agent contains less than 5% by weight, preferably less than 1% by weight, more preferably less than 0.5 or 0.1% by weight of fluorocarbon compounds. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the hydrophobizing agent is fluorocarbon-free.

Water may also be provided as a third, separate component of the kit-of-parts, or alternatively provided separately by the user. The concentrations in the kit-of-parts are chosen so that when mixing the components, a composition is obtained containing
  • a) 0.1-10% by weight of aminosiloxane,
  • b) 0.01-5% by weight of acid and
  • c) 1-30% by weight of organic solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, their ethers and mixtures thereof.

The hydrophobizing agent according to the invention contains 0.1-10% by weight of aminosiloxane. According to a preferred embodiment, the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention contains 0.1-7.5% by weight, in particular 0.25-5% by weight or 0.5-2% by weight, of aminosiloxane. Polysiloxanes are characterized in that they contain monomers of the general formula - [O-SiR 2 ] -.

Particularly good results are obtained when the aminosiloxane is a copolymer of at least one kind of amino-functionalized organosiloxane unit and at least one kind of amine-free organosiloxane unit. The copolymer may be a block or graft copolymer and / or random or alternating copolymer.

By "organosiloxane unit" is meant a siloxane unit - [O-SiR 1 R 2 ] -, wherein R 1 is an organic radical, in particular substituted or unsubstituted -O-alkyl or -alkyl. R 2 , independently of R 1, may also be an organic radical, in particular substituted or unsubstituted -O-alkyl or -alkyl. Alternatively, R 2 may be -H or -OH.

Besonders bevorzugt ist es, wenn Alkyl C1-C6 bedeutet."Alkyl" in the context of the invention is any alkyl radical, preferably a C 1 -C 8 linear or branched alkyl radical, where one or more, in particular 1-3, methylene units represented by -NH-, -N (alkyl) -, -O-, -S- can be replaced. Further, the alkyl group may be substituted or unsubstituted. It is particularly preferred for alkyl to be C1-C6.

By "amino-functionalized organosiloxane unit" is meant a siloxane unit - [O-SiR 3 R 4 ] - where R 3 is an organic radical having an amino group, in particular substituted or unsubstituted -O-aminoalkyl or -aminoalkyl. R 4 , independently of R 3, may also be an organic radical having an amino group, in particular substituted or unsubstituted -O-aminoalkyl or -aminoalkyl. R 4 can also be an organic radical as defined above for R 1 and R 2 , and -H or -OH.

Dadurch kann einerseits die Löslichkeit und vorteilhafterweise andererseits die schnelle Anhaftung an der Oberfläche bewirkt werden."Amino" in the context of the invention is understood to mean a protonatable -NR 5 R 6 , or -NR 5 R 6 H + group, where R 5 and R 6 independently of one another may denote -H or -alkyl. In a preferred embodiment, R 5 = R 6 = H. In a particularly useful embodiment, amino is a free amino group. As a result, on the one hand the solubility and advantageously on the other hand, the rapid adhesion to the surface can be effected.

By "amine-free" organosiloxane unit is meant an organosiloxane unit - [O-SiR 1 R 2 ] as described above which has no amino group. In a preferred embodiment, R 1 and R 2 independently of one another are methyl or methoxy. Particularly good results are obtained when the amine-free organosiloxane unit is a dimethylsiloxane unit or an organosiloxane unit obtained by polymerization of trimethoxymethylsilane.

Optimum results are obtained when N- [3- (trimethoxysilyl) propyl] -1,2-ethanediamine and / or aminoethylaminopropylmethylsiloxane is chosen as the amino-functionalized organosiloxane unit. Preferably, at least one component selected from the group hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane, trimethoxymethysilane and N- [3- (trimethoxysilyl) propyl] -1,2-ethanediamine is used as aminosiloxane.

The aminosiloxane has at its chain ends the terminal radicals R 7 and R 8 . These may be independently selected from -H, -OH, substituted or unsubstituted -O-alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted -O-aminoalkyl, and substituted or unsubstituted aminoalkyl.

Ersteres besitzt vorzugsweise eine Aminzahl von etwa 1,4.Practical experiments have shown that particularly good results occur when the aminosiloxane is selected from (1) polydimethylsiloxane, hydroxy-terminated, reaction product with trimethoxymethylsilane and N- [3- (trimethoxysilyl) propyl] -1,2-ethanediamine (CAS no. 69430-37-1) and (2.) [2-4% aminoethylaminopropylmethylsiloxane] -dimethylsiloxane copolymer (CAS No. 71750-79-3) or mixtures thereof. The former preferably has an amine value of about 1.4.

According to a further embodiment, an aminosiloxane of the following schematic formula is used in the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention: R 7 - [...] - [O-SiR 1 R 2 ] x - [...] - [O-SiR 3 R 4 ] y - [...] - R 8

Herein, R 1 to R 4 are as defined above for the organosiloxane moiety - [O-SiR 1 R 2 ] - and the amino-functionalized organosiloxane moiety - [O-SiR 3 R 4 ] -. Preferably, [O-SiR 1 R 2 ] - is an amine-free organosiloxane unit. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the aminosiloxane has an amine number of 0.05 to 7, preferably 0.05 to 5 or 0.1 to 2. Methods for determining the amine number are known in the art. In particular, the amine number can be determined by titration with an acid.

The hydrophobizing agent according to the invention also contains 0.01-5% by weight of acid. The acid content is preferably 0.01-2% by weight, or 0.1-5% by weight, particularly preferably 0.01-2.5% by weight or 0.1-2.5% by weight. and in particular 0.1-1% by weight. The acid leads, probably via a protonation of the aminosiloxane, to improve its water compatibility. Opaque or milky emulsions or suspensions are thereby avoided. The hydrophobizing agents according to the invention are therefore particularly suitable for the treatment of transparent surfaces which, in contrast to paint polishes, to name a counterexample, require transparent hydrophobing agents. As the acid, a monoprotic or polyprotic, water-soluble or water-insoluble, organic or inorganic acid can be used. Particularly preferred acids are formic acid, acetic acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and citric acid.

The hydrophobizing agent according to the invention also contains 1-30% by weight of organic solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, their ethers and mixtures thereof. According to a further embodiment, the proportion of these organic solvents is at most 30% by weight, at most 25% by weight, at most 20% by weight or at most 15% by weight. Preferably, the mono- and polyalcohols have a boiling point of at most 100 ° C at 0.1 MPa. This has the advantage that these solvents have emulsifying properties and are no longer present in the formed coating due to the volatility. With the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention it has been found that the glycols used in the prior art, in particular butyl glycol, can be dispensed with. Preferably, the organic solvent is a monoalcohol. According to another embodiment, the organic solvent and / or the hydrophobing agent is free of glycol, in particular free of butylglycol. Particularly practical results can be achieved with isopropanol as a solvent.

According to a preferred embodiment, the total amount of organic solvents in the hydrophobing agent is at most 30 wt .-%, at most 25 wt .-%, at most 20 wt .-% or at most 15 wt .-%.

  • a) 0,1–10 Gew.-% Aminosiloxan,
In addition to the components already described, water, aminosiloxane, acid and organic solvents, the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention may contain further ingredients. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, however, the water repellent consists solely of the components water and
  • a) 0.1-10% by weight of aminosiloxane,
  • b) 0.01-5% by weight of acid and
  • c) 1-30% by weight of organic solvent selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols, polyalcohols, their ethers and mixtures thereof.

On the other hand, other embodiments of the inventions provide further constituents for the hydrophobicizing agent according to the invention. In particular, the hydrophobing agent may contain an additive selected from the group consisting of flavoring agents, stabilizers, thickeners, nanoparticles, hydrophobing agents and mixtures thereof.

The addition of nanoparticles is particularly preferred since this can be used to increase the hydrophobizing effect up to the formation of superhydrophobic surfaces. The nanoparticles are preferably selected from titanium dioxide, silicon dioxide and aluminum silicates, as well as mixtures thereof. According to a further embodiment of the invention, the nanoparticles are in the inventive Hydrophobizing agent in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt .-%, in particular 0.5 to 5 wt .-%, each based on the total weight of the hydrophobing agent.

The invention also provides the use of the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention for coating solid surfaces, in particular transparent surfaces. With the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention is a coating of non-transparent surfaces, such. As tiles, ceramic hobs or dishes, easily possible. However, it can be used especially well for the coating of transparent surfaces. Practical examples of such surfaces are windows, mirrors and car windows.

A further subject of the invention is a process for the coating of transparent surfaces, which comprises the following steps:
  • a) applying a hydrophobizing agent according to the invention or the cleaning liquid according to the invention to a transparent surface,
  • b) incubation for a contact time of at most 5 s,
  • c) removal of the excess composition applied in step a) after the end of the reaction time.

Vorzugsweise beträgt die Einwirkzeit in Schritt b) des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens höchstens 1 s oder von 0,1 bis 0,6 s.It has been found that the hydrophobizing agent according to the invention crosslinks particularly rapidly at room temperature to give a hydrophobic coating. This is probably related to the particular adhesiveness of the aminosiloxanes of the invention. Together, this allows a shortening of the otherwise necessary reaction time of hydrophobing agents to 5 s or less in the process according to the invention. The exposure time in step b) of the process according to the invention is preferably at most 1 s or from 0.1 to 0.6 s.

The application in step a) is preferably carried out by spraying or by contacting with a moistened cloth. Surprisingly, the use of a cloth for application in step a) does not reduce the effectiveness of the hydrophobization achieved by the process. Rather, the use of a cloth in step a) leads to a very thin and uniform coating with the hydrophobing agent, which is particularly important in the treatment of transparent surfaces. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the cloth is made of a microfiber material. Such microfiber cloths are characterized by a mostly streak-free treatment of surfaces, in particular glass surfaces.

According to a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, the removal of the excess composition in step c) is carried out by suction. Alternatively or additionally, removal of the excess composition may also be accomplished or assisted by use of a squeegee. The wet cleaning device according to the invention preferably has a Abziehlippe for this purpose.

[0004] bis [0085]).Optimal results are obtained when the steps a) to c) of the method according to the invention are carried out by means of a wet cleaning device according to the invention. On the description of their features and advantages above and the description of other device features in EP 2 774 522 A2 is hereby expressly referred to (see there paragraphs [0004] to [0085]).

It has been found that a unique coating is obtainable by the method according to the invention. This is also the subject of the invention and is characterized by its small and uniform thickness and a very high permanency of the hydrophobization achieved. According to one embodiment of the invention, the coating is characterized by a contact angle of 80 to 100 °, in particular from 85 to 95 ° or about 90 °. The permanence of the coating is preferably between 8 and 16 months, 10 and 14 months, 11 to 13 months or about 12 months.

In der Zeichnung zeigenIndividual subjects of the invention will be explained in more detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments, wherein first a moisture-cleaning device is discussed. In the drawing show

1 in perspektivischer Darstellung eine Feuchtreinigungsvorrichtung einer ersten Ausführungsform; 1 in perspective view of a wet cleaning device of a first embodiment;

2 den schematischen Längsschnitt durch die Feuchtreinigungsvorrichtung gemäß der Linie II-II in 1; 2 the schematic longitudinal section through the wet cleaning device according to the line II-II in 1 ;

3 einen Querschnitt durch die Feuchtreinigungsvorrichtung gemäß der Linie III-III in 1. 3 a cross section through the wet cleaning device according to the line III-III in 1 ,

In the 1 to 3 is an embodiment of a wet cleaning device 1 shown, which preferably serves as a window cleaning device, and is suitable for the wet cleaning of smooth surfaces such as windows or the like.

Die Höhe h der Feuchtreinigungsvorrichtung 1 entspricht im Wesentlichen etwa dem Maß der Breite b.The wet cleaning device 1 has a housing 2 with a housing wall 3 , with a device floor 4 and with end walls 5 and 6 on. The housing 2 is elongated and points along the device floor 4 a substantially elongated rectangular base. For example, the base area extends with a length l of 220 to 280 mm and a width b of 60 to 100 mm. The height h of the wet cleaning device 1 essentially corresponds approximately to the measure of the width b.

At the housing 2 is a grip area 7 by a waist-like constriction of the housing wall 3 educated. The device 1 is thus suitable both for applying a liquid to a surface to be cleaned or treated 8th as well as to the resumption of the liquid.

Ein Wandungsbereich 10 des Frischwassertanks 9 bildet dazu den Deckenabschnitt der Gehäusewandung 3 im Bereich einer Gehäuseöffnung 11.For this purpose, first in the housing 2 a fresh water tank 9 containing the cleaning liquid according to the invention. In a preferred embodiment, the fresh water tank 9 out of the case 2 removable, so in particular for filling the fresh water tank 9 , A wall area 10 of the fresh water tank 9 forms the ceiling section of the housing wall 3 in the area of a housing opening 11 ,

In the case 2 are still two accumulators 12 arranged. The accumulators 12 serve to supply an electric motor 13 to drive a fan 14 , This fan 14 is a separator 15 downstream, in particular a centrifugal separator. The electric motor 13 , the blower 14 and the separator 15 are in the the fresh water tank 9 remote side region between the handle area 7 and the end wall 6 arranged.

Von dem Abscheider 15 führt eine Flüssigkeitsleitung 17 über eine Einfüllöffnung 18 zu dem Schmutzwassertank 16.Furthermore, a waste water tank 16 provided for receiving the over the blower 14 from the area to be cleaned 8th resumed dirt or dust particle-prone cleaning liquid is used. The dirty water tank 16 is also out of the case 2 removable. From the separator 15 leads a liquid line 17 via a filling opening 18 to the waste water tank 16 ,

A wiping surface 19 is at a distance from the device floor 4 through a flat support area 20 formed, which forms a flat surface extending substantially over the entire length l and the width b of the wet cleaning device 1 extends. There is also a supernatant 21 intended.

The supernatant 21 protrudes accordingly over one on the device floor 4 opening edge contour of the housing wall 3 free from, as can be seen from the 3 results.

Which is between the carrier area 20 and the device floor 4 resulting space is closed on all sides and forms a distribution reservoir 22 that via a supply line 23 and an overflow opening 24 with the fresh water tank 9 connected is.

At the bottom of the carrier area 20 is a wiping element 25 in the form of a cloth, in particular via a Velcro connection releasably connected to the carrier area 20 connected. As 3 Furthermore, shows is a suction opening 26 opposite the supernatant 21 provided, which preferably over the entire length l of the device 1 extends.

The suction opening 26 is by two cross-sectionally V-shaped boundary parts 27 and 28 formed in the form of rubber lips. Suction channel section closes at the suction opening 29 on, via a suction line 30 to the blower 14 connected.

The suction opening 26 facing longitudinal wall 31 the housing wall 3 with respect to one through the underside of the wiper element 25 given wiping surface 19 plane formed aligned at an acute angle to a vertical.

The outer boundary part 27 used in the operation of the device 1 as a mark. This takes an angle of about 60 ° to the surface to be cleaned 8th one. The inner boundary part 28 more preferably has a tooth contour, is preferably according to the length considered only partially on the surface to be cleaned 8th on.

Furthermore, there is a stand area 32 provided in the form of a flat surface. Thus, the fresh water tank 9 easily removed and through a filling opening 33 by means of a cap 34 in a tankcap 35 can be closed, filled with cleaning fluid.

During use of the wet cleaning device 1 that will be in the fresh water tank 9 cleaning fluid over the overflow opening 24 into the distribution reservoir 22 directed. The distribution reservoir 22 has mouth openings 37 on, through which the cleaning liquid to the wiper element 25 directed and recorded by this.

For damp cleaning and treatment of the area 8th becomes the electric motor 13 to drive the blower 14 by pressing a switch 38 put into operation.

For cleaning and treatment of the area 8th becomes the wet cleaning device 1 with the wiping surface 19 over the entire surface just on the surface 8th put on and by moving the wet cleaning device 1 moves in the direction of movement r. This is done via the wiper element 25 Moisture on the surface 8th applied, any contamination on the surface 8th dissolved and by the moving wiper element 25 from the area 8th solved.

The in the direction of movement r the wiper element 25 subsequent suction opening 26 is in operation of the wet cleaning device 1 through the suction fan 14 subjected to a negative pressure, so that the nozzle-like suction opening 26 the on the surface 8th in the direction of movement r behind the wiper element 25 remaining moisture film is canceled. The boundary part 27 serves here in the form of a Abziehlippe.

Preferably remains on the surface 8th no residual moisture, possibly only a mist-moist residue, which evaporates without residue.

Beispiel 4Example 4

The fresh water tank of a type VG 100 wet cleaning device (manufacturer: Vorwerk) was filled with a mixture of water as the cleaning liquid and the water repellent obtained in Example 1. Subsequently, a window surface was treated according to the instructions for cleaning windows enclosed with the VG 100 device. The moist cleaning device containing the hydrophobing agent was passed slowly and with light pressure in straight paths from the top to the lower edge of the window. In the process, the microfibre cloth moistened with the cleaning agent uniformly applied the hydrophobing agent and, at the same time, a detachment of the dirt from the windowpane took place. The battery-powered suction motor automatically removes excess cleaning fluid. The exposure time between application and suction was about 0.9 s.

Dabei wurden folgende Werte gemessen: Kontaktwinkel Probe 20° Gereinigte Fensterscheibe 87° Erfindungsgemäß beschichtete Fensterscheibe 40° Gelagertes Glas The contact angle was corresponding before and immediately after this surface treatment with a Krüss device DIN EN ISO 828 certainly. The following values were measured: contact angle sample 20 ° Cleaned windowpane 87 ° Window pane coated in accordance with the invention 40 ° Stored glass

The comparison of the window pane before and after coating with the hydrophobing agent showed that the coated window pane was much easier to clean from applied impurities than the untreated window pane. Furthermore, when pouring over rainwater, there was also a purely optically clear beading effect on the coated window pane, while the water on the untreated pane adhered more flatly and formed streaks.
