DEUTSCHES
Diese Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung neuartiger Polyacryl- und Polymethacrylsäureester perfluorkohlenstoffhaltiger
Alkoholkomponenten, die zum Schlichten von Geweben usw. geeignet sind.
Die Polymerisate enthalten die wiederkehrenden Estereinheiten
RfSO2N(R')RCH2OOCC(R") — CH2-.
Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Monomeres der Struktur
RfSO2N(R')RCH2OOCC(R") = CH2,
worin Rf eine Perfluoralkylgruppe mit 4 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen, R eine Alkylenbrücke mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen,
R' eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen und R" Wasserstoff oder Methyl bedeutet, allein
oder im Gemisch mit anderen Monomeren umsetzt und die Umsetzung in Gegenwart eines freie Radikale bildenden
Polymerisationsinitiators durchführt.
Die neuartigen verfahrensgemäß verwendeten monomeren Verbindungen sind die Acryl- und Methacrylsäureester
der Perfluoralkansulf onamidalkanole, die im Molekül eine Perfluorkohlenstoffkette mit 4 bis 12 vollständig
fluorierten Kohlenstoffatomen enthalten. Die Stammalkohole dieser Ester können als N-Alkyl-N-alkanolperfluoralkansulfonamide
bezeichnet und durch die Formel Verfahren zur Herstellung

Butyl, Amyl- oder Hexyl) ist. Die monomeren Ester besitzen
die Formel
RfS O2N (R') RCH2O CO C (R") = CH2.
Die monomeren Ester, für deren Herstellung im Rahmen dieser Erfindung kein Schutz begehrt wird, polymerisieren
leicht miteinander unter Bildung von neuartigen Fluorkohlenstoffpolyacrylat-und-polymethacrylat-homopolymerisaten,
in denen die Grundkette des Polymerisatmoleküls mit Fluorkohlenstoffester-Nebenketten verbunden
ist, die Perfluorkohlenstoff-»Schwänze<< (Rf) mit 4 bis 12 vollständig fluorierten Kohlenstoffatomen enthalten.
Die Struktur des Acrylat- bzw. Methacrylatpolymerisatmoleküls wird durch die Formel der sich
RfSO2N(R')RCH2OOCC(R")
wiedergegeben.
Die Polymerisation kann im Block-, Lösungs- und Emulsionsverfahren, besonders bei Gegenwart von Peroxyden
oder Persulfaten als Katalysatoren, durchgeführt werden.
Es eignet sich vor allem ein Verfahren, bei dem das Monomere oder die Monomeren in einem wäßrigen Medium
emulgiert werden, das eine wasserlösliche, sauerstoff·*
haltige organische Verbindung, z. B. Aceton oder Methanol, enthalten kann.
Die vollständig polymerisierten Homopolymerisate sind klare, farblose, wasserabstoßende und ölabstoßende,
thermoplastische feste Substanzen, die biegsam und mehr oder weniger kautschukartig und in Kohlenwasserstoffen
und anderen gewöhnlichen organischen Lösungsmitteln unlöslich sind und in diesen nicht quellen. Sie sind auch in
Wasser unlöslich und quellen darin ebenfalls nicht. In fluorhaltigen Lösungsmitteln, z. B. Fluorcarbonsäuren
und -estern, Benzotrifluorid und Xylolhexafluorid, sind sie jedoch löslich.

Wegen der Orientierung der Polymermoleküle im für das im Rahmen dieser Erfindung ebenfalls kein Schutz
