Abstract

The invention relates to a cable (OC), the outer surface (LS) thereof being embodied in such a way that a lotus effect is caused in terms of the liquids (WT) and/or particles (P) which come into contact with the surface of the cable. The hydrophobic properties of the cable surface are achieved by means of a regularly roughened or bristled structure to the surface. Said cable enables disturbing effects to be prevented, such as tracking, for example, when using the cable as an ADSS cable, or the occlusion of a channel in which the cable is installed.
